Memória Gráfica [Graphic Memory]

Lithographic Stone shards are placed on iron structures and their printed “void” is reflected on the accompanying expanded PVC sheet. The random and accidental breaking of the old matrix makes possible a new horizon that rebounds and multiplies in the graphite drawing on a black background. So, the silhouette of the stone that was once a mountain and then a matrix, becomes a mountain again.
The poetic approach of the space seeks to transform the memory attached to the stone surface - that was once the cradle of countless reproductions - into a new and final print. It goes on accumulating images, layers over layers, as if a palimpsest of all the previous ones, but the result of such action is that it returns to its initial state, inside the earth, in the mineral bosom from which it was born. A cyclical game between the idea of reproduction and origin.

Cacos de Pedras litográficas são colocados sobre estruturas de ferro e seu “vazio” impresso é rebatido sobre a chapa de PVC expandido que o acompanha. A quebra aleatória e acidental da antiga matriz torna possível um novo horizonte que se rebate e se multiplica no desenho de grafite sobre o fundo preto. Torna assim, a silhueta da pedra que um dia foi montanha e depois matriz, em montanha novamente.
A abordagem poética do espaço procura transformar a memória contida na superfície da pedra que um dia foi berço de inúmeras reproduções em uma nova e última estampa. Segue acumulando imagens em camadas e mais camadas, como que um palimpsesto de todas as anteriores, mas o resultado de tal ação é que volta ao seu estado inicial, no interior da terra, no seio mineral de onde nasceu. Um jogo cíclico entre a idéia de reprodução e de origem.
