On each frame 10 calipers make a skyline reading of the Itatiaia National Park, carrying out of the frame the terrain relief. The horizon, read by instruments used for a micrometric precision measurement becomes fully scrutinized in every detail.

Inside this poetic fight between the macro and the micro is the man and his constant desire to tame all that is in the earth, its time and its memory. When we see at distance, the landscape appears as a multitude of rocks and grass stretching far as the eye no longer reaches, with a force that overwhelms us by the power and breadth of its infinite horizons.

This work is about this constant attempt to transpose this relationship with the place, to measure and experience the landscape, even if it has to be millimeter by millimeter.
