The story about Sir Ernest Shackleton and the rescue of the crew of the Endurance Expedition in Antarctica in 1914/1916 is one of the most excitings of all times for me. Alone in the drifting ice for about 2 years after their ship was smashed by the ice, all the 25 men resisted bravely alive waiting their salvation to come on that small boat called James Caird. The work shows this crucial moment when in two projections we see the departure of the boat trying to reach the last piece of reachable land. The images are from Frank Hurley, the expedition’s photographer.

A história de Sir Ernest Shackleton e o resgate da tripulação da Expedição Endurance na Antártica em 1914/1916 é uma das mais excitantes de todos os tempos para mim. Sozinho no gelo flutuante por cerca de 2 anos após seu navio ter sido esmagado pelo gelo, todos os 25 homens resistiram bravamente esperando que sua salvação viesse naquele pequeno barco chamado James Caird. O trabalho mostra esse momento crucial quando, em duas projeções, nós vemos a partida do barco tentando chegar à ultima parte de terra alcançável. As imagens são de Frank Hurley, o fotografo da expedição.
